I’m Lam Cheng, a Software Developer specialising in Flutter and cross-platform mobile applications.

I have more than five years of commercial experience building production fintech software across iOS and Android, with a focus on explicit state, maintainable business logic, testing and production reliability.

Before moving into software, I was a Senior Facilities Officer helping prepare the HZMB Hong Kong Port for opening. The role involved a complex operating environment, more than 200 personnel and coordination across government departments, emergency services, contractors and frontline teams.

That experience established the working method I now bring to engineering: investigate unfamiliar systems, turn critical feedback into concrete requirements, reconcile specialist concerns and verify a model before relying on it.

I work to a line of Bruce Lee’s: be water. Water takes the shape of whatever holds it without ceasing to be water. A new domain, an unfamiliar codebase, a team with its own conventions — I adapt to the container and keep the substance.
